we’re snowed in.  and i LOVE every second of it.  we’ve both been working from home, which is awesome.  not any different for me, but it is very nice to have tom around!  we’ve also been loving on our new puppy, lucy… and so now i must do the obligatory new dog bragging:  isn’t she just adorable? ok, so back to the recipe.  i did run out of caramel sauce for my coffee.  i’m one of those people that fills my coffee with a bunch of sweet and creamy stuff, to ensure that it doesn’t taste much like coffee at all.  no amount of snow is going to keep me from a proper caffeine fix sugar buzz. source: bakingdom *please note, we are not the kind of people that keep our christmas tree up year round…...

caramel macchiato cheesecake

welcome to thanksgiving dinner, 2010! we’re going to start with dessert first…  caramel macchiato cheesecake is just like my favorite starbucks drink, but better because it is in cheesecake form!  this cheesecake is best served chilled.  you might want to make two, because there won’t be any leftovers. the cheesecake is only coffee flavored, so you could add any kind of flavoring on top: chocolate, raspberry, hazelnut… you can flavor it anyway that you’d want to flavor your coffee. source: 2 c graham cracker crumbs 1/2 c butter, melted 2 tbsp white sugar 3 8 oz. packages, cream cheese, softened 1 c white sugar 3 eggs 8 oz. sour cream 1/4 c espresso or strong coffee 2 tsp vanilla extract whipped cream caramel syrup preheat oven to 350°.  lightly coat a 9″ springform...
